NYC Fair Trade Coalition – Every day it’s something, in a good way!
@NYCFairTrade Coalition is a local grassroots organization promoting + educating ethical businesses, retailers and consumers on ‘Fair Trade’ principles + practices.
Partnering with @Chashama they are currently housed in a duplex storefront at 1795 Lexington Ave, NYC.
Lower level – Clothing + textile swap plus shareable space for indoor + outdoor events/activities. (You got an idea – they’re listening) swipe to peep @islandbeeproject honey tasting
Upper level – Marketplace showcasing an array of member brands. Virtual – Always available for those who can’t make it in person. Cool brands you may find?
@twinenginecoffee + @caturratea – ethical single sourced nicaraguan coffee + cascarra tea (made from the coffee flower which used to be thrown away)!
@yanawaranyc + @panchosrojas – ethically made Bolivian artisans
@nutu – moringa based skin care + tea
@filluptown – eco-store and no waste refill stations for soaps, detergent, toothpaste etc. @abernadette – ethical fashion more brands rotated in and out continually!

5 – All are welcome – there’s a place for you. Participate as a business, member, advocate patron or intern!
4 – The programming – every day it’s something – in a good way! The SFCC (sustainable fashion community center) is the perfect space to activate rich and supportive programming for members + East Harlem neighbors.
3 – The Whatsapp support thread. Need to source or promoting something? A stylist, a sublet, some love on social…? Post up and the community is on it.
2 – The diverse community supports each other and members look into the coalition for fair trade resources and ethical solutions. We collaborate – we proliferate ; )
