I am a fiber/experimental fashion major attending the Maryland Institute College of Art. My Asian American identity is a driving force in my art making practice and I strive to shed light on important racial stigmas against the Asian community. Outside of my artmaking practice I spend my free time promoting sustainable fashion on social media. My social media platform has allowed me to have experience in content creation, video editing, and marketing. I mainly focus on sharing my love for thrifted fashion through styling and promoting ways to take steps towards reducing our carbon footprint. I have also been able to open my own small business where I sell prints, ceramics, and jewelry; which has taught me about digital marketing, budgeting, and branding. As an artist who creates and consumes clothing, I hope to bring a creative input to NYC FTC as a project coordinator and take steps towards a more ethical fashion industry.
