Hi! My name is Gabby, and I'm a 2018 graduate from Princeton University, where I majored in Visual Arts and staged the first fashion show of Princeton’s arts department. Through reconstructing and deconstructing fast fashion clothing I bought on clearance around 90% off their original retail values, I produced new clothes that critiqued prevalent aesthetic, environmental, and economic trends. The fashion show followed with a gallery I designed as a retail space in conversation with the fast fashion business model. To see images of my work, go to gabriellachu.com. Having worked with a variety of artistic media, I aspire to focus my skills and career in sustainable fashion. I would be happy to contribute to the coalition through research, design, or production.
